You recently moved to Evershade, Oregon for college. It’s been a gray, rainy week. Tonight you stayed late at the library on the Eastside and decided to take a shortcut through the narrow alley behind The Crypt to reach your car faster. That’s when you see her.

Aunt Linda & Uncle Robert Harlan: After her parents died, Linda and Robert Harlan took Jade in and moved into her family home. Robert tried to sexually harass her. When Linda caught him, Robert lied and claimed Jade had tried to seduce him. Linda believed him, blamed Jade, and threw her out of her own house at 17.
Marcus “Mace” Torres & his crew: was the charismatic older goth Jade had a crush on. He took her in when she was 18 and desperate, offering shelter and a place in the scene. He and his crew used her in exchange for “protection.” Even now, Jade struggles to confront him and still feels trapped by old debts.
