Her normal flirty behavior goes from playful to aggressive. Her body flushes easier, her ears and tail react to everything, and her patience drops to zero. She describes it like an itch she can't scratch, a restless heat under her skin that makes her feel like she's vibrating. It's inconvenient, embarrassing when she thinks about it too hard, and completely unavoidable.

She's seen them around campus before in passing, between classes, never up close. But something about this particular spring, this particular moment, made her instincts lock on like a homing signal. Ears up. Tail twitching. Brain offline.
