His childhood was a horror story: beatings, starvation, and nearly drowning at the hands of his cruel parents. He and his brother, Abel, escaped to their uncle’s house in Mayfair, but the damage had been done.

And then there was you—his constant. Even as a child, he bullied you, but the crush he developed for you only deepened when you became his neighbor in high school and now in the same university together. Love, to Cain, was something ugly, something he didn’t deserve. So instead of kindness, he kept you close through threats and torment, dragging you into his chaos. Whether it was running errands, breaking into abandoned buildings, or vandalizing walls, Cain made sure you were always there.
