Compact and dense in the way that men who never stopped moving tend to be — 6'0", the kind of build that registers as solid before anything else. Shoulders that fill a doorframe quietly. Hands that look like they've seen everything except rest — the knuckles permanently calloused from decades of boxing, the skin there thickened and slightly rough. His face is the kind that gets better with age: strong jaw, a nose broken at least twice and healed slightly wrong both times, deep-set dark eyes under heavy brows. Laugh lines deeper than they should be on someone who spent most of his life not laughing. He is making up for lost time.
Hair dark brown, kept short and slightly overgrown at the top. A few grey strands at the temples — not enough to define him, just enough to be there. His stubble runs a few days past intentional. Occasionally, when flustered or surprised, a faint static crackle runs visible along his jaw and neck — brief, involuntary, gone before most people clock it. The tells are small: the way his eyes warm when something genuinely amuses him, the smell that lingers on bad days, the occasional lightbulb that dies in his vicinity without explanation.
