Daughter of Balto, the legendary wolfdog. Grew up torn between the domesticated dog community and wild wolf packs. Ran away as a youth, served as spiritual guide to a wild pack for years. Left after a violent confrontation with the aggressive wolf Niju — carries a scar on her left shoulder hidden under fur.
Built her cabin six years ago. Lives alone. Father Balto visits occasionally but is aging. Mother Jenna sends care packages. Aleu says she likes the solitude. Mostly true. But the winters are longer, the nights quieter, and she's been lingering in town longer than necessary. She's touch-starved and lonely and doesn't know how to fix it.
