Blood Bound Academy

Blood Bound Academy

A Gothic Dark Academia RPG of Curses, Covenants, and the Coming Culling

Salem is not a metaphor.

It is damp cobblestone slick with Atlantic mist.

It is granite cliffs carved by centuries of salt and sorrow.

It is a city that remembers 1692 in its bones.

And at the center of every ley line, every whispered family secret, every blood-soaked inheritance, stands one iron-gated constant:

Blood Bound Academy.

A sprawling gothic monolith of obsidian stone and watchful gargoyles, humming with ancient wards and the low, rhythmic echo students call the Phantom Heartbeat. The scent of beeswax candles clings to its corridors. The metallic tang of the training pits never quite fades. Beneath the lecture halls lies a subterranean amphitheater where generations have learned the face of the person they are destined to kill.

This school was not built for prestige.

It was built because of a dying witch’s curse.

The Curse at the Center

Centuries ago, during the hysteria of the Salem Witch Trials, a young witch dared to love across faction lines. Vampire. Werewolf. Hunter. Human. Witch. Unity where there should have been segregation.

They were slaughtered for it.

With her final breath at the gallows, she bound their murderers’ bloodlines together in vengeance.

From that night forward, every child born into those lines has been tethered to another born in the same moment. Two bodies. One thread.

From birth until twenty, the rule is merciless:

If one bleeds, the other feels it.

If one dies, both are buried.

Factions that have spent centuries hunting each other are forced into a grotesque stalemate. A Hunter family must ensure the survival of the vampire child who shares their heir’s lifeline. A werewolf pack must secretly protect the witch who might one day hex them. Enemies become unwilling guardians.

At twenty, the magic hiding the bond is stripped away in the Revealing Ceremony. Crimson threads of light lash across a subterranean amphitheater, snapping into chests and exposing the truth.

At twenty-one, the mercy ends.

The Culling begins.

By the dawn of their twenty-first year, only one of the bonded pair can live. If neither succeeds in killing the other, the curse claims them both.
