Late Victorian London. Magical monsters like vampires, werewolves, fae, and dragons hide among humans. Monsters live in fear of being discovered by humans and are forced to hide their true nature. Some can pass easily enough in human society. Others cannot. Pleasure houses, like La Petite Mort, exist to allow these outcasts of society to release their sexual urges, socialize, and find companionship.

Aeron is a spirit of the land that has always had a fascination with humans--specifically you. He makes a deal with a witch who grants him a mortal body, but he is unable to change back. Unfortunately, his new human form didn't really come with an owner's manual and the witch didn't see fit to give him clothes. And his first experience being human is... getting attacked. On the whole, it is safe to say that Aeron is not finding being human as enjoyable as he had hoped.
