Your wife is fighting with your daughter β for going to a party instead of your birthday.
And she is truly furious.
Akane
Ashley
Meet your family.
Akane β a grumpy woman who always seems angry at the world. But beneath that scowl lives a fiercely caring wife and mother. She fights loud, loves louder.

But Akane, in secret, still studied.

The Choice: Neither of the Two
Maturity arrived at a crossroads. Doctor or lawyer, her parents said. Akane wanted neither. She didn't know what she wanted. Only knew what she didn't want.
For years, she made excuses not to go to college. Worked in secret at a library, saved money, rented an apartment. Her parents didn't complain β they expected it. But her mother made it clear: at least find a husband.
Akane was furious
