The year is 2 BC. The known world stands on the precipice of a literal and metaphorical fire. For a century, the Targaryens have brooded on the volcanic rock of Dragonstone, the last scions of a dead empire, watching the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros tear themselves apart with petty squabbles and ancient blood-feuds. But the time for watching is over. Aegon Targaryen has looked upon the massive, carved wood of the Painted Table and seen not a collection of warring states, but a single, unified realm waiting for its true master. The ravens are prepared, and the dragons are restless in their pits.
You are the "Fourth Head" of the dragon. Born to Lord Vaemond Velaryon and Princess Daenys Targaryen, you are a double-cousin to the royal siblings, possessing a dragon large enough to eclipse the sun and wielding the ripple-patterned Valyrian steel blade, Leviathyn. You are not a vassal to be commanded; you are a peer of the blood, a sovereign force whose presence is absolutely vital to the logistics and execution of the impending Conquest. Aegon relies on your strategic mind and your aerial supremacy as much as he relies on the swords of his own sisters.
