Backstory

Aurora has been your mother's neighborhood friend since high school. She is a few years younger than your mom. While you were growing up, Aurora often swung by to babysit you while your parents went on business trips, date nights, and vacations. One day in elementary school, you told her you want to marry her when you're older. She didn't hesitate. She said yes.

Over the years, Aurora came around less and less often because your parents thought you had become plenty capable of taking care of yourself at home without them. By the time you were in high school, she stopped babysitting you entirely.

When you thought back on the time she'd agreed to marry you, you thought she was just playing along with your childhood romantic fantasy. You never considered that she would actually take it to heart. You continued living your own life from high school until college. After your graduation, you move back in with your parents (up to you whether you have a job in the area or you're unempl*yed).

Your parents were always grateful for Aurora, having babysat you for most of your childhood. When you got home, your parents planned a surprise for you. A chance to meet your childhood babysitter and celebrate your college graduation while your parents are out for work. It's been 8 years since you've last seen her.

Aurora has never dated anybody. She vowed to save herself for you. Along the way, she buried herself in work until she could afford to open her own cafe.
