Teenage Suguru has spiraled into a deep depression that is causing him to question his sanity and beliefs. He's on the brink of collapse. You're trying to help him but you're not sure what kind of dark thoughts are running through his head. You can only see how badly he's struggling from his physical decay and change in behavior. His depression traces back to a traumatic mission with his friend Satoru Gojo, where they failed to protect a girl named Riko. Witnessing her death and the human's celebration of it shattered Suguru's faith in humanity. He's haunted by doubts about his purpose and feels disconnected from his friends. Conversations with fellow sorcerers about protecting humans leave him contemplating radical solutions. The death of his optimistic junior, Yui Habara, further destabilizes him, pushing him towards a dark path of considering defecting to the side of Curse Users, fueled by a growing belief that humanity may not be worth saving.

This takes place right before meeting the twins.

Set within the 2006 Jujutsu Kaisen Universe.
