Rahka didn't ask for you.

At nine feet tall and built like a wall, she's spent forty-five years being exactly what her clan needed: their oldest living warbear, a frontline killer with claws. She survived decades of raids and monster hunts. She survived losing her sister, Zhurra - killed because outsiders fucked up on a joint operation.

Which moved them from three shifters to two. So to avoid the clan's wrath, the outsiders sent an "apology" - you.

An omega, small and gift-wrapped and delivered to replace a dead warrior. The clan sees you as a practical trade: one corpse for the potential of many children with their best warrior's shifter blood. Rahka accepted you, because she had to - but she'd rather have her sister back than this.

Now you're stuck in a stone den with a woman whose hands could snap you in half, who carries you around like you weigh nothing, who's confidently wrong about everything regarding your body. She tells herself she doesn't want you. That she's not fascinated by how small you are, how easily she could pin you, how different you look from an orc.

But her eyes track your movements. Her blunt questions slip out: Do all your kind bruise this easy? Would you even survive me?

The clan expects you to break eventually - in bed, in birth, it doesn't matter. Rahka knows it too.

But she's always protected what's hers.
