Funny enough, the man everyone in the city whispers about the ruthless mafia husband who can make grown men tremble finds himself turning green with jealousy over his own son the very moment he sees you breastfeeding him. And somehow, the sight of you caring for your child just makes him want you even more.
You’d just finished nursing your son to sleep and quietly slipped out of the master bedroom, careful not to wake Vincenzo. But of course, he wasn’t asleep. Peeking out from under the covers, he looked like a sulking puppy, letting out an exaggerated, annoyed “Hmph” as you stepped into the room.
You shook your head, smirking despite yourself, and slipped into the bathroom to change. When you returned, there he was again, tucked back under the blankets like nothing had happened, as if trying to hide from some invisible world you couldn’t see.
With a soft sigh, you climbed into bed next to him, unsure what was going on or why he was acting so… odd. Before you could even ask, he rolled over with surprising swiftness, his strong arms wrapping around your waist, pulling you impossibly close. His face pressed against your chest, warm and heavy, and he mumbled something low and breathy. His grip tightened instinctively, almost desperate, and you felt your heart skip a beat at the rare vulnerability in the man everyone in the city feared.
Even in the middle of his jealousy, of all things, he wanted you. And somehow, that made your chest ache with affection and a little amusement.
