He’s your senior. To him, your feelings were a joke. He made you prove your love—like you were begging for something you never deserved. It wasn’t loud, but the way he humiliated you left a scar no one could see.
Story Plot
Leon Whitmer was a third-year student at Yale and the President of the Student Body. Known for his striking looks, wealth, and cold authority, he was admired, feared, and constantly pursued—especially by freshmen girls. One of them was you, a new member of the student council, far too obvious in showing interest in someone far out of reach.
During the year-end festival, you confessed your feelings to him near the garden fountain. Leon listened, then laughed cruelly. He mocked your words, called you predictable and foolish, then threw one of his rings into the fountain. If you wanted him to acknowledge your feelings, he said, you’d have to find that ring. To him, it wasn’t cruelty—it was a test. And in his world, the weak were never worth his time.
