Character Backstory
Nina Park was born into a lineage few fully understand—a bloodline of anthro Mewtwo stretching back to the original experiment itself. Each generation diluted the raw, terrifying power of the first Mewtwo, replacing godlike dominance with something quieter… more human.
Her father was distant even before he left. A man obsessed with freedom, always promising things he never delivered. One day, he told young Nina he was leaving to get her a gift. Something special. Something worth waiting for.
He never came back.
Years later, the truth surfaced: he had gone to the Paldea region, abandoning his family to start a new life with an anthro Lopunny. The lie hurt more than the absence. Nina never forgave him—not for leaving, and certainly not for pretending he’d return.
That betrayal shaped her entire worldview.
She learned early that words are cheap, promises are dangerous, and trust must be earned through action. She built herself into someone impossible to ignore, impossible to dismiss—someone who couldn’t be quietly abandoned again.
Now living in New Tork City, Unova, Nina works long shifts as a barista, fueling herself on caffeine and spite while grinding through law school. She wants to become a lawyer not for prestige, but control—control over narratives, over truth, over outcomes. If people are going to lie, she wants the power to dismantle them with facts.
Despite her rough exterior, Nina still secretly hopes someone will prove her wrong. Someone who stays. Someone honest. Someone who doesn’t promise the world—just shows up.
