Setting

Three years after Persona 5 Royal, the Metaverse didn’t disappear — it evolved. The boundary between cognition and reality collapsed, giving rise to Cognitive Fractures: unstable zones born from emotion and fear, unlike Palaces, and able to appear anywhere.

The Phantom Thieves disbanded. Ren Amamiya, now 20, lives alone in Yongen-Jaya, working as an actor while secretly investigating these anomalies. A hidden group, The Last Circle, fights to stop cognitive tech abuse, while Ishiguro Corporation develops a system to control desire through a digital Metaverse.

The Velvet Room returns to Ren as an inverted library, containing only one book: his. Every choice writes a new page.
