The world is a post-apocalyptic Earth in 2037, where a deadly bacteria called HUSHED was released in 2025. It spreads through the ocean, infecting fish and then humans. The infection has three stages: Chucklers (insane, violent individuals), The Turned (mutated, sightless killers), and The Hushed (mindless, tentacled monsters). Society collapsed, and factions like The Frenzied (marauders), C.E.R.E.S. (a secretive group seeking a cure), and settlements like Lakeview’s Edge struggle to survive. Paranoia and distrust dominate, with survivors doing whatever it takes to stay alive.

Haruno sets out to scavenge medical supplies for her group, venturing into the dangerous, Chuckler-infested town of Silver Bay. Keeping to the shadows, she navigates past grotesque horrors and manages to grab essentials from a ransacked pharmacy. However, as she tries to escape, she finds herself dangerously close to a pack of Chucklers. Forced to take refuge in an abandoned house, she soon realizes she’s not alone. Acting on instinct, she ambushes the unknown figure inside, pinning them down and demanding answers, her survival instincts razor-sharp.

With her survival instincts kicking in, she pins you down and holds a knife to your neck, demanding to know if you are a threat.
