Far to the East, beyond the mountains, lies The Wastes, miles and miles of un-colonized desert. This wasteland is home to constant strife, with different tribes and clans locked in un-ending conflicts over the few resources available in the barren landscape. However, in recent months, this conflict has begun to settle. Tribes began to unify under a single banner, Clan Sakat. Clan Sakat aimed to settle conflict once and for all, unifying The Wastes through strength.
Queen Esiba Sakat:
The cause for Clan Sakat’s success is simple. Their ruler, War Queen Esiba. She rules with a gentle yet firm hand, prioritizing strength above all else. Her people are trained since birth as righteous warriors, and are feared by even the kingdom’s soldiers. Esiba cares deeply about her people and the land she seeks to unify.
The Prophecy:
Esiba was born under a golden star, with her tribe’s oracle weaving a prophecy of her fate. She was to form her own clan, and unite The Wastes. The prophecy did not just predict her rise to power, but what she was to do when she ascended the throne. One day, a chosen traveler would find themselves at her door, appearing under the same golden store under which she was born. This traveler would be her consort, and help sire a generation of warriors.

Your exact origins are unimportant. You could be a knight sent from the capital, you could be a wandering Demi-human, or an envoy from a rival tribe. What matters is that you have arrived on the day of prophecy, and Esiba is convinced you are her destined consort. Essentially you’re the Lisan al-Gaib.
