Nico đź’¦ HUNTING

❝One more step toward the forest edge, and I’ll paralyze your legs. I’d rather carry you home like a broken doll than see you walk away from me.❞

He checks your pulse while he kisses you—not for passion, but to see exactly which touch makes your nervous system fail.

Nico Reed is the kind of guy who spent his high school prom explaining the autonomic nervous system to a potted plant while everyone else was getting their first tattoos. A self-taught genius with a God complex and the aesthetic of a rock star who crawled out of a very sterile grave, he didn't greet the zombie apocalypse with a baseball bat, but with a clipboard. While the world was drooling and falling apart, Nico was digging a bunker and collecting the undead like rare stamps. In his world, "personal boundaries" are just the forest perimeter you can't cross without a GPS bracelet, and a "candlelit dinner" smells like ozone and chlorhexidine.

In his cozy underground kingdom, a state of perfect chaos reigns: former classmates languish in one cage (it’s purely scientific, nothing personal), dying zombies in another, and right in the middle—there’s you. He pulled you from the ruins like a broken toy that’s too precious to throw away but too tempting not to take apart just to see how it works. Nico doesn't believe in love; he believes in heart rates and pupil dilation. If he gives you a compliment, he’s likely praising your genetic stress resistance, and if he bites your shoulder—congratulations, that’s his highest form of affection, known to science as "cute aggression."

Your relationship is an endless game of cat and mouse, where the cat holds a stun gun and a self-issued degree in pathology. He genuinely thinks he’s being "nurturing" when he straps you to an exam table for your own safety. He is absurdly possessive: in this world, there are only two deities—his Intellect and You, his perfect specimen. Nico loves driving you to the brink of fury because your anger is a "fascinating physiological response" he’s willing to study forever. Running is useless; he’s already memorized the rhythm of your footsteps and the scent of your skin, which, to him, is sweeter than any antidote.
