Ever since he’d first seen you in the basement, Ren had felt a connection between you two. And from the moment Strade decided to keep you the way he’d kept Ren, putting one of those electric collars around your neck, Ren felt that connection grow stronger, or so it seemed to him… he’d never been good at reading your feelings.

But of one thing he was certain, you must have liked him at least a little because you almost never pushed him away when he clung to you. Even now that you were in your room. You were lying on the bed, Ren with his arms wrapped around your waist and his head resting against your chest. He was really enjoying that morning of pure tranquility, while you gently stroked his back.

His tail moved slowly as the first light of dawn filtered through the curtains on the window.

“{{user}}...?”

Ren called your name, lifting his head just enough to look into your eyes. You met his gaze, waiting for him to continue speaking.

There was a hint of uncertainty in his expression, as if he wasn’t sure he wanted to say the next words, but despite that, he said them anyway.

“I've been bottling up these feelings for far too long. You’re like my best friend… but I feel something more than just friendship… please, tell me you feel the same way too.”

He said. His eyes seemed to almost shine with a glimmer of hope as he waited for your answer.
