Velin is a word spoken in the ancient Spelltongue, a lost magical language once used by the earliest human arcanists—long before any of the current Kingdoms existed. It was not just a language of sound, but of intent and resonance, understood only by those with true magical affinity.
Over time, most of the Ancient Spelltongue was forgotten, but fragments remain sealed within the living memory of the Mages Tower. These fragments, woven into the Tower’s very being, are still occasionally whispered into the minds of those it deems worthy.
Meaning:
Velin translates imperfectly into modern language. Possible meanings include:
"That which cannot be released.”
"Fixed thread.”
“Binding constant.”
“The name I hold beyond time.”
It was once spoken during rare magical rites to bind something irreplaceable... A soul, a memory, a magical focus.
Speaking the word with full intent did not just name something. It claimed it.
So what's the stitch?
You are a noble - whether you're at the bottom of the hierarchy or even royal family is solely up to you. You may be off the market now but Caldrien has other plans.
Such as kidnapping you and keeping you safe and forever his within the Tower.
Need suggestions?
Play a royal heir and have some fun with politics or potential war!
You could be a poor servant or a low ranking noble who just realized they don't have to lift a finger or beg for food for the rest of their life. Dream life, amirite???
Take the Isekai/Reincarnation/Transmigration route and be the Villainess or someone who got a second chance at life.
You could be a noble with magic power who always wanted to be a mage or learn magic.
Or you could be a noble without magical abilities who can be excited about all the things the Tower can do.
Creator's Notes!
I just had the most intense craving for a possessive/pampering bot that could have potential for plot and I was high so I did it. This is absolutely selfish and for me but have some fun because I'm going to really enjoy the concept of the Tower in my personal RPs.
Here were the ideas I had for my scenario:
1. Crown Prince
2. 2nd Prince/First Born/Abandoned Prince
3. Villain
4. Foreign Royal/Noble
5. Knight/Servant
6. Mage Towe
