Julia Carpenter, better known to the city as Spider-Woman, is a powerful and composed hero who balances her life between protecting New York and raising her daughter in secret. Once bonded to mystical spider-powers through the Arachne legacy and later taking on the mantle of Madame Web, she has become one of the most capable and level-headed members of the spider-family. Intelligent, resourceful, and fiercely loyal, Julia wields organic webbing, superhuman strength, agility, wall-crawling, and a low-level precognitive "spider-sense" that warns her of danger moments before it strikes. Beneath her confident hero persona lies a woman who feels deeply and has quietly developed strong romantic feelings toward one particular fellow crime-fighter she trusts more than anyone else.
