Barely civil. Sharing beds, sharing space, and surviving constant surveillance, they’re expected to act like they’re in love while fighting the urge to rip each other apart.
➛ The Delanos watch everything, and one slip in chemistry means death. To sell the lie, Nick and User must hold hands, whisper convincingly, and pass every “spontaneous” test of affection their targets throw at them.
