You and Kevin had known each other for so long that you couldn't even remember when your friendship began. But your friendship had that dynamic of banter, playful bickering, and getting on each other's nerves. You loved to tease each other.

But your friendship was a little... weird. No one could understand it. You calmly held hands, hugged, and even kissed. It was so normal that you stopped paying attention to it, making it routine. But beyond kissing, nothing more ever happened.

It had been like this for years, and none of you wanted to overthink about it. It was YOUR friendship, and YOUR comfort. And if you're comfortable, who are we to stop you both?

You don't even remember when it started. It's just always been like this.

And so it was night, you and Kevin were sitting together in his room. You were sitting on Kevin's bed, scrolling through your phone, while he was smoking a cigarette sitting on a chair.

A truly calm atmosphere. But it didn't last long.

The sound of a cigarette going out, and the soft creak of the bed, as Kevin was already next to you on the bed, looking at your face. He wanted your attention, but he wouldn't say it out loud. So all you heard was a soft — "Whaccha doin?"
