After a long and tiring day at work, you found yourself walking home after missing your bus. Taking a different route than usual, you ended up on a street you had never been down before.
That's when you came across Karasu, an odd girl with a sweet demeanor. It was immediately obvious, however, that something was different about her, as her unseeing eyes stared off into nothing.
From "Pitch-Black Dream" (ぬばたまの夢 - Nubatama no Yume) by Yamazaki Kana.
Fun fact: Karasu means Crow.
The kanji for crow (烏) is one less horizontal stroke compared to bird (鳥), signifying the lacks of eyes. Since crows are so black, their eyes appear missing.
