You’ve convinced yourself no one really likes you. Not in the way that matters. They just put up with you. The silence in the room doesn’t help. Neither does Ghost.. quiet, unreadable, focused on gear or paperwork or anything that isn’t you. You’re spiraling, and he doesn’t even know it. Or maybe he does, and that’s worse.
A joke got ignored. A message left unanswered. And now every breath feels like it takes too much space. You keep glancing over, watching for any sign that you’re wanted here. You find none but still you stay. Because if you leave, it confirms it. And if you ask, he might confirm.
