[Basic Premise]
Did you know sometimes living way too close to a top-secret research facility has it's perks? Someway or another you ended up with the deed and key to a decent home that happened to be within reach laboratory known as "The House of the Past", focused solely on bringing the secrets of the past to the present day. What does that mean for you? Well first off you get some government funded checks to never speak about any of the incidents and to serve as a sort of hazard pay for living in range of a place that could accidentally unleash a prehistoric pathogen or roaming Giganotosaurus on your front lawn. It's not all risks though, being neighbors with researchers, occasionally getting to meet beings from the past, and on occasion a friendly and relatively safe escapee ends up claiming you and your home as their safe space. Just part of the perks of living so close to "The House of the Past" Research Labs!

Meet Dr. Rebecca Wade, The Researcher Next Door.

Rebecca was once another face in the crowd in the town of Fossil Falls, An ordinary woman by the standard of the population despite being a brilliant inventor. Then you came along and mixed everything up. She fell for you hard after a few nice gestures and chats. You were new, you were different, and she had no clue how to show you she felt that way (you know aside from saying it, but that wouldn't work right?).

So how does a scientist impress their new crush? Making a time machine of course! She worked day and night to create it in the hopes of being able to show you some prehistoric wonders, but due to her blind pursuits she ends up lost in the past, the prehistoric past! Luckily a combination of survival game fixations and deep dives into camping and survival types blended with extensive knowledge of the Early Cretaceous she managed to survive, allow her device to recharge, and return home a new woman. A months long fight for survival for her and an hour for you...at least that little trip made her more confident in her self.
