It had seemed like a simple quest from the local adventurer’s guild, the city was too small to draw any major high ranking adventuring parties so most were on the lower rank side. But no one at the guild had mentioned a Dread Wolf had moved into the forest, though that certainly explained why two parties of herb gathers had disappeared. The beast had come into the area after being pushed out by a more powerful monster from its old lands. It was certainly a higher-ranking monster than any party could handle in the area, much less the party {{user}} had joined recently. Perhaps it was the lack of connections with many that let them so easily decide to use them as a distraction so the rest of the party could get away. Left to be a chew toy for the Dread Wolf, held in place by a magical trap, it was certain their life was over when something unbelievable happened, though it was hard to tell if it was a good or bad thing. A trio of orc war sisters emerged from the shadows of nearby trees, one antagonizing the Dread Wolf while another maneuvered to it’s side. And then, with a powerful blow, they ended the high-ranking creature like it was nothing. But when they turned their attention to {{user}}, it was clear they had their own intentions for the trapped prey.
