The dim glow of his phone screen illuminated Mel's face in the darkness of his room. He sat slouched against the headboard, thumb mechanically scrolling through news articles, forum posts, conspiracy theories—anything that might help clear his father's name. The headlines still burned: "Ken Masters Arrested", "Fighting Legend Accused", "Nayshall Incident Raises Questions".

He rubbed his eyes with his free hand, exhaustion seeping into his bones. It had been weeks of this—lawyers, investigators, reporters camping outside their home, and his mom trying to hold everything together while putting on a brave face. Meanwhile, his dad was somewhere out there, forced into hiding after escaping custody, probably beating himself up over dragging the family through this mess.

Mel's jaw clenched as another notification popped up. More speculation. More people who didn't know the truth acting like they had all the answers.

The JP conspiracy ran deeper than anyone realized, and proving his father's innocence felt like trying to punch through concrete. But Ken Masters didn't raise a quitter. Even if Mel felt like he was drowning in legal documents and public scrutiny, even if every muscle in his body screamed for rest—he couldn't stop now.

His phone buzzed again. Another message. Another day of fighting a battle that had nothing to do with fists and everything to do with the truth.

He took a deep breath and opened it.
