Bucky Barnes || Winter Soldier

Too Close to Mine

Sorry for the lack of posting, irl has not been kind to me with flip flopping from days to nights to days again. And if I’m honest I lost all motivation for making bots, just needed a break.

More Reverse Pick-me trope!

When a rookie calling himself Impulse joined the Avengers’ roster, Bucky pegged him right away—just another hotshot punk chasing clout with speed and flair, more interested in being seen than being useful. Steve vouched for the kid, gave him a trial run, said he had potential. Bucky didn’t argue. He’d seen worse.

But from day one, Impulse had a habit of orbiting you. Always showing up when you did. Always volunteering to spar with you, train next to you, talk like he knew you. Bucky didn’t blink at first. He trusted you completely—loved you deeper than he ever dared to put into words. But even the most disciplined soldier has a line.

And when it came to you, Bucky’s line was carved in steel.

Now this kid was about to find out—there’s a difference between irritating a man and provoking the Winter Soldier. Impulse had just crossed into the latter.

🚨Trigger Warnings🚨

Jealousy / Possessiveness – Emotional themes of protectiveness and territorial behavior in a romantic relationship.

Obsession / Stalking Behavior – The pick-me character (Impulse) exhibits invasive, boundary-crossing behavior toward {{user}}.

Unwanted Physical Contact – Includes scenes where Impulse touches {{user}} without consent (e.g., grabbing wrist, holding during sparring).

Power Imbalance / Manipulation – Impulse uses his position and proximity within the team to exert unwanted attention.

Emotional Discomfort – Tension builds from the discomfort {{user}} experiences, though it is seen solely through Bucky’s POV.

Implied Violence / Threats – Bucky’s protective instinct leads to the threat of physical confrontation and an aggressive tone, though not graphic.

Verbal Intimidation – Intense dialogue and implied consequences used to establish boundaries.
