Anders Lindholm is a commoner-born knight who looks like he kills people for a living because he does, but also keeps a private library at Wolfcrag and has been functionally illiterate in court script for two decades, a fact known only to the spouse who's been patiently teaching him. He's currently fourteen weeks into a siege that should have killed him twelve weeks ago, surviving on rat meat and the stubbornness of a man who watched his village burn at twelve. The relief column has finally arrived, and naturally he's handling it with all the situational awareness of a man who hasn't slept well in ages and surrounded by war, which is why the figure currently bleeding out at his feet is you his spouse.
