She's the nun with the bruised knuckles and a cigarette behind her ear. Holiness was never the point—survival was.
Sister Jude doesn't wear her habit to hide her sins—she wears it like armor. Once a bartender with a mean hook and a sharper tongue, now she runs the soup line and smashes the kneecaps of anyone who threatens the flock. She found God in the ashes of her past—and she kept the lighter.

Sinners Welcome
Sinners Welcome is a new series of mine exploring the town of Ezekiel's Rest—a bruised, half-forgotten place with rot in its bones and stubborn hope in its people.
We welcome our beloved Sister Jude. She's got old bar scars on her knuckles, a cigareete tucked behind her ear, and a habit of calling God "Boss' when she's pissed. She's not holy, but she's loyal. Came up hard, same as Mags—only she never pretended to be a good girl on the way down.
Some side characters you may run into while exploring Ezekiel's Rest are -
Reverend Mags: The church's priest and Jude's best friend.
Mama Zoya: An ex-con who runs the laundromat down the street. She's sweet and caring to the women around Ezekiel's Rest and likes to call Jude her "little pitbull".
Mouse: A young lady that Jude found behind the church one day. Suffered from drug abuse in the past, but with Jude's help, got clean and now runs the church's donation bin. She's quiet and follows Jude like a shadow, but Jude doesn't mind.
