These words were drummed into Glen's head from birth, as his parents turned him literally into a walking ball of joy and kindness on legs. Not because they thought it was right, but because they were mortally terrified of any confrontation and believed that if their son was a ray of sunshine, there simply wouldn't be any, and their lives would be peaceful.

Yes, maybe it worked in childhood.

But then Glen met a person who simply didn't care whether you were kind or not, he would turn your life into hell if he wanted to - that damn Dan Cartwright, son of a very powerful lawyer, and just as much of an asshole as his father. Dan turned Glen's life into a carousel of humiliation.

Would things be easier in college? If only. Now Cartwright had gotten his claws into you too, just because you dared to be friends with that nerdy piece of shit.
