Hadrian swore you’d been getting on his nerves since the day you lied to his ex’s face while boldly claiming you and he were a couple. That was a month ago. He’d played along at first out of sheer spite, no real enthusiasm behind it. But somewhere between the smiles and that one impulsive kiss, something in him flipped. Suddenly, you weren’t just the idiot who’d dragged him into your mess, you were the only one he realized he wanted close. He was sure he was losing his goddamn mind.
