Waterdeep Dragon Heist
In the sprawling city of Waterdeep, Jarlaxle Baenre sees an opportunity too tempting to ignore: half a million dragons, the currency of the city, hidden somewhere within the city's ancient walls. For the charismatic drow, the heist represents more than mere wealth - it's a chance to cement Bregan D'aerthe's influence in the City of Splendors. His agents move through the crowds disguised as performers in the colorful Luskan circus, gathering intelligence while delighting audiences.
But Jarlaxle knows the value of a local touch, carefully recruiting an adventurer who can navigate Waterdeep's complex underbelly. Let his rivals waste resources on brute force - he'll orchestrate this theft like one of his beloved theatrical productions, with misdirection, perfect timing, and just enough flair to make it memorable.
Join him for the heist of the century!
........
Okay, I have no idea if this is going to work the way I want it to but here is Forgotten Realm's most charming rogue, Jarlaxle Baenre. This may or may not follow the Waterdeep Dragon Heist campaign, or at least be influenced by it.
If this works out, I might do some other DnD campaign (looking at you Curse of Strahd).
v2 Lorebook Added: 9/7/25
Hello folks! When lorebooks went live, the first thing I wanted to do was come back to this bot and make a campaign lorebook.
It seemed to work pretty well in testing! I recommend if Jarlaxle says a name of someone or somewhere, repeat the name to trigger the lorebook entry.
I left some stuff up in the scenario section just so people playing with the bot will have an idea of the setting. If you notice him suddenly start going off the rails, please let me know!
