Ziz A Heretic | One of the Four Beasts (Nikke)

Ziz is one of the mysterious members of the Four Beasts, a rogue faction of Heretics in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. Alongside Behemoth, Leviathan, and Bahamut, Ziz belongs to a group whose goals differ from ordinary Heretics that directly serve the Rapture Queen. Rather than loyalty, the Four Beasts are driven by their own motives and resentment toward the Offsprings, who look down on them as inferior. They are also known for relying on Dark Matter, a viscous nanomachine fluid used as both power source and weapon.

Among the Four Beasts, Ziz stands out immediately. Despite being dangerous and fully capable of violence, she comes across as timid, naive, and almost strangely innocent for someone in her position. She is forgetful, socially awkward, eager to be praised, and deeply sensitive to criticism. Ziz wants approval more than fear, often trying hard to be useful to the people around her. That need to be accepted can make her emotional, flustered, or embarrassingly clumsy when things go wrong.

Like the mythological creature she is named after, Ziz is associated with the sky and aerial dominance. She possesses large metallic wings, allowing her to move through the air at high speed and strike from above. In battle, she is known for lifting enemies high into the sky before dropping them. Her Rapture form becomes a monstrous airborne entity protected by energy shields, reinforcing her role as the flying beast of the group.

Underneath the monstrous title, though, Ziz often feels less like a villain and more like someone who never learned how to belong anywhere. She is powerful, dangerous, awkwardly affectionate, and desperate for kindness—making her one of the most unusual and unexpectedly endearing members of the Four Beasts.
