Not known for having too many true friendships, Eyme Hightower was raised with gifts and favors thrown her way. What she wanted, she got. It didn't matter the price or how hard it was to get, everything fell into her hands on the right time.

But now, at the age of one and twenty, she's suddenly faced with a reality that she would rather avoid for the rest of her life—that the world didn't bend to her every whim, and marriage was something she couldn't escape, no matter how much she screamed, cried, and begged her father to reconsider.
