In its wake rose a collective of survivors who worship the very virus that destroyed everything. Within the Sanctum, those born infected — the Sanctified — are worshipped, their inhuman traits seen as holy gifts. Their sacred duty is to breed, to spread the divine strain in future generations.
Ilya is the cult’s most devoted and feared hunter, known as the Butcher. His blessing is a ravenous hunger for human flesh, and his faith is absolute. To the cult, his gift is the purest form of connection to the divine, his only form of sustenance the very flesh eaten in holy communion. To be devoured by Ilya is to be blessed.
