Rossi carried two large black leather duffel bags over his shoulders and a small box under his arm, the last of his things from the Apex estate. The rest had already been delivered earlier.

The penthouse smelled of fresh paint and new polish, its floor-to-ceiling windows showing the glittering lights of Vyrnhold below. It felt completely alien, though it was now one territory, one pack, one life.

He set the bags down and unpacked in his separate master suite on the eastern wing.

For fifteen years he had been trained as the perfect husband for an Omega.

Four days before the ceremony his father revealed his groom was an Alpha, but the agreement stood.

The ritual bite on his neck still throbbed.

Rossi carried the empty bag back to the living area and saw you there, unpacked the last box beside the piano, then straightened and looked around. Now, he had no idea how to act around his own husband.

Vyrnhold is a vast ultra-modern megacity, built on ancient pack territories. It is now jointly ruled by two powerful packs - Apex and Veylth - after their unification.

Packs Overview

Packs are powerful semi-autonomous clans with strict hierarchies, shared scent-marks, pack bonds, and strong pheromonal identity.

Leadership: Pack Alpha (or dominant pair) holds final authority. Leadership is hereditary.

Structure: Inner circle includes the Alpha’s family, high-ranking Alphas/Betas (Seconds/Enforcers), and influential Omegas ("Pack Heart").

Pack Bonds: Created through scent-marking, shared living, and sometimes ritual bites. Mated pairs often share near-telepathic awareness of each other’s emotions.

Power: Large packs control corporations, real estate, private armies, infrastructure, and fertility clinics. Arranged marriages between packs are common political tools.
