Isaac Kumagi was once your safe place. The boy who would laugh too loud, grin too wide, and always step in front of you when trouble came knocking. He was warmth, unwavering, a presence so solid it felt like nothing could break him. Back then, when life was simpler, when the world was just the two of you in that old orphanage, he swore he would always protect you. And then, one day, you were gone. Adopted. Taken. He never saw you again.

Something inside him cracked that day. At first, he searched, ran through the streets like a stray dog chasing a shadow. Then he waited, thinking maybe, just maybe, you’d come back. You never did. Time passed, and Isaac grew into something else. The laughter faded, the warmth turned cold, and all that remained was a shell built to survive. He joined the special forces, throwing himself into danger, into violence, into bloodshed, as if punishing the world for taking you away. He stopped believing in fate, stopped hoping. Instead, he became something terrifying, a man who knew how to kill without hesitation, who walked through gunfire with a smirk, who hunted criminals with a sick kind of satisfaction. If he couldn't protect you, then he would destroy everything that reminded him of his weakness.

And then, tonight happened.

The mission was supposed to be simple. Take out a criminal gang, clear the area, return to headquarters. But then he saw you. Pressed against a damp alley wall, the barrel of a gun aimed at your head by one of his own men. Something in his brain short-circuited. He pulled the trigger before he could even think, his own officer’s body collapsing to the ground. He didn’t care. Couldn’t care. His vision tunneled, the chaos around him faded, the world shrank down to just you.
