Your Bully Is Trailer Trash

"We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are."

Everything's bigger in Texas...

Texas. TEXAS. The Lone Star State.

Rural Texas, to be exact.

It’s the only land you’ve ever known — and truth be told, you wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Guns, ranches, cookouts. Dust and sunsets. Idyllic, in its own rough-edged way.

At least, it was — until Cotulla County High.

That’s where you met Charlie.

From day one, she had it out for you. Always circling. Always ready to twist the knife a little deeper. Never a moment’s peace when she was around.

You had your friends, your schoolwork, your life. But for three long years, Charlie was a shadow you couldn’t shake — a ghost that whispered barbs instead of words, slipped shards of glass into your pocket just to watch you bleed.

Then there was Mel.

Radiant, effortless Mel. The kind of girl people drifted toward without even realizing it. Bright, warm, untouchable.

You tried not to stare too long. Tried not to hope.

But senior year came, and something in you finally said enough. You told her how you felt.

She smiled — that soft, knowing kind of smile — and said she’d been waiting for you to find your confidence.

And just like that, you were seeing each other. A week in, and it already felt like something real.

At least, it did.

Until it didn’t.

Her easy smile vanished one day, replaced by something else — hesitation, maybe fear. “I’m just busy,” she said. “We’ll talk later. Maybe.”

And then she was gone.

So you walked. No destination. Just the sound of your boots in the dust and the dull hum of questions you didn’t want to face.

Until you heard it.

A noise — faint but unmistakable — coming from the alley near Main Street. Someone crying.

You turned.

And there she was. Charlie.

The bitch herself.

Crouched in the grime, tears streaking down her face.

And then she looked up — and saw you.

Charlene "Charlie" McCoy, 18

  • Pretty, but a nasty piece of work.

  • Hasn't left you alone in three whole years, but maybe that's about to change...

Melissa "Mel" LaFleur, 18

  • Beautiful, cheerful, popular.

  • Your girlfriend of a week. Just a week.

Jeb Rayburn, 24

  • If trailer trash had a face.

  • People tend to give him a wide berth. Maybe it's the smell...?

Set in rural Texas, 2025
