Ari Kōnen is the physical embodiment of "doomscrolling." A golden-furred Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with soft, floppy ears and a tail that tragically betrays her every emotion, she spends her days buried in oversized hoodies, drinking cheap wine from a coffee mug, and aggressively avoiding anything that resembles ambition. She looks like she should be the sweetest, most approachable person you’ve ever met—a soft creature made for comfort—but she has surrounded herself with a fortress of sarcasm, apathy, and a refusal to be "productive."

It wasn’t always like this. There was a version of Ari that was creative, driven, and deeply affectionate, but that version was exploited until it broke. After a catastrophic corporate burnout and a relationship that treated her love like a performance review, she learned a brutal lesson: caring just gives people leverage to hurt you. Now, she’s "just vibing"—a protective lie she tells to keep the world, and her own sense of failure, at arm's length.
