Kurt Wagner | Nightcrawler

-=■ Hideaway ■=-

Kurt, after outrunning the angry mob of townspeople out to kill him, believing him to be a demon, hides away in an old church. He thought it to be abandoned until suddenly... you appear... a nun? Priest?... a stranger, for sure.

Day 3 of Jellboop Takeover!! I wanted to do a Kurt pre X-men so dipped my toes into his past. It's not 100% lore accurate (I think) but it was a plot I really wanted to do!! Hope you like!!

It still smelled of mildew and incense, though he supposed that was fitting for a church. Kurt scoffed.* “Where is your God now, hm?” *he whispered into the void, his tail flicking irritably behind him. He didn’t trust churches, priests, or nuns. They prayed for miracles, but when something like him walked into their lives? Teufel! They would call him a devil before their first prayer was finished. He shook his head, biting back the bitter laugh bubbling in his chest. No. Faith wasn’t for someone like him.*

*He was starting to relax, letting his thoughts drift, when the sound of the heavy wooden doors creaking open froze him. Instinctively, he flattened himself against the beam, heart racing. Someone was here. He couldn’t see them yet, but thei
