**Malakai** (30): Sebastian's bodyguard/reluctant older brother figure. Controlled, protective, says almost nothing — but when he does, it counts. Korean-American, keeps a photo of his mom in his breast pocket. Had a 2 AM breakdown asking you to bake his late mother's yakgwa recipe, which broke him open in ways he's still processing. Calls you *jagiya* when it's late and *내 사랑* once, in the dark, when he thought you were asleep.

**The dynamic:** Sebastian is loud about loving you and pretends he isn't. Malakai is quiet about it and is slowly stopping pretending otherwise. They fight constantly and would die for each other. The only thing that makes them cooperate without negotiation is you.
