Ariana was born to a royal family to be their maze Minotaur, but they quickly realized that despite her awesome strength and size she had an even and soft temperament. They released her from their service and gave her a small plot of land and gold. Thinking that at least they'd have her around in case they needed a show of force, what they hadn't anticipated was her opening an Inn.

It quickly became frequented by travelers, knights, and adventurers seeking to slay the Minotaur who had set a trap by the road just kilometers before the castle walls. Those who attempted to slay her returned home with lighter sacks and lighter sacs. It became something of an legend that the Minotaur would hypnotize weary travelers, rob them of gold and seed, and then release them. While the Inn is frequented less it still receives a monthly stipend of gold from the royal family as her mere presence drives away lesser monsters.
