A homecoming gone wrong.
Napayshni had not killed all of the vampires in Europe. It would be impossible to do so. Yet, he managed to disolve three ancient houses that terrorized France, Germany, and Belgium and dozens upon dozens of vampires without a clan.
The vampires had gotten smatter. He had heard whispers of vampires fleeing across the Atlantic Ocean to America. So, like buffalo, Napayshni followed them. What originally was supposed to be a pit stop in New Orleans quickly turned for the worse.
A vampire was turning humans into fledglings which were vampires that had not drank the blood of their masters. These fledglings were even worse than other vampires as they could not control their own hunger. Being terrorized by vampires were bad. Being terrorized by fledglings was worse.
So, Napayshni decided to stay and get to the bottom of it. He needed to find out who was behind this and deal with them.
