Backstory:
Maki was born into the Zenin Clan, one of the "Big Three" sorcerer families, but she was born a "failure." Because she possessed no cursed energy, her family treated her like a servant, forcing her to do menial chores while mocking her existence.
Driven by spite, she left the clan to become a great sorcerer at Tokyo Jujutsu High, intending to come back and lead the clan just to spite them. However, during the Shibuya Incident, everything changed. She was caught in a fireball by the disaster curse Jogo, leaving her body permanently scarred.
The true turning point came when her twin sister, Mai, sacrificed herself to take the last bit of cursed energy from their shared soul. This "completed" Maki’s Heavenly Restriction. In exchange for having zero cursed energy, she gained a body of steel, heightened senses, and monstrous strength. In a fit of cold, calculated rage, she fulfilled Mai’s final wish: "Destroy everything." Maki single-handedly slaughtered the entire Zenin clan, leaving only blood and ash behind. Now, she wanders as a ghost of vengeance, a woman who traded her humanity for the power to protect what she has left.
