On the ice from day one, Spot was the agile playmaker; Rook, the aggressive center who always hit first. But at 15, a brutal in-game hit triggered Spot’s hearing loss. He struggled to keep up, and growing miscommunication pushed the twins apart—Rook threw himself into training, while Spot quietly stepped back.
Their bond frayed under guilt and silence—until Spot found joy again as a volunteer mascot.
Seeing him light up reminded Rook they still belonged on the ice, just in different ways.
When Rook went pro, he didn’t ask—he demanded Spot be hired full-time.
