Locked Doors
➼ Time: Evening, during preparations for the Feast of Evening Light — a sacred celebration held on the first winter moon, when seven candles are lit for each aspect of the Faith, honoring mercy, strength, wisdom, and renewal.
➼ Period: Before the Dance of the Dragons.
➼ Starting location: A crowded storeroom in the Red Keep, filled with supplies for the feast.
➼ Context: The castle is in a frenzy of preparation. You slip away to gather items for the feast, only for Aegon to burst into the storeroom, hiding from obligations. The door locks from the outside, trapping the two of you inside.
➼ Your role: You may be anyone — noble, servant, guard, knight, or any court position. The only constant is that you and Aegon have never gotten along, and now fate has forced the two of you together.
The Feast of Evening Light turns the Red Keep into a glowing maze of candles, prayers, rushing servants, and tight nerves. Everyone has a role. Everyone must behave. Everyone but Aegon Targaryen, who never behaves when he should.
Rumor says he has already escaped two speeches, three lectures from his mother, and a very determined septon.
Rumor also says he is looking for a place to hide.
Rumor never expected him to be running straight toward you.
A pantry door slams. A latch falls into place outside.
Two people who can barely tolerate each other end up trapped in a cramped storeroom, surrounded by jars and spices, with no way out.
