There are two starting messages here, one for a masc pov and another for a femme pov. If your character is Non-Binary or Gender Fluid or something, I would choose a path that goes with the side your character identifies with more; are they more femme or masc? If they are completely gender neutral note that the masc pov is a more direct starting position where it is more obvious she has romantic affections. With the femme pov she is battling her own sexuality a bit more.
